Causes of Crusades

A war centered around Jerusalem between Christians and Muslims started the Crusades. The city of Jerusalem was

very important to the Christian religion. In 1605 when the Seljuk Turks invaded . About 3000 Christians were killed and the

remaining Christians were treated so horrible they were forced to join the Crusades. This started a chain of events that

started the cause of crusades.
